Together with Enterprise Greece and Albania Investment Corporation, Invest Cyprus participated at one of the event’s discussion panels: “Markets on the Rise: What do they do better?”. During the discussion, emphasis was placed on the comparative advantages of Cyprus in attracting investments, such as the current momentum of the island’s economy, the resurgence of the hospitality sector, Cyprus’ geographical location, and the attractive tax system.

During the panel discussion, Invest Cyprus Head of Strategic Projects Stephanie Panayi commented: “As the organization responsible for promoting the state’s investment policy, it is essential to constantly assess our country’s investment environment, so as to observe the trends and enhance the incentives for new opportunities in investments in large strategic projects in the field of tourism. Among our priorities is to attract investment in sustainable projects that will give an impetus to the country’s economy. We can confidently say that the tourism sector is almost back to full recovery, reaching the record year of 2019 while we are also particularly pleased with the interest we receive from major investment funds, evaluating our country for investments

This year’s IDEEA focus was how the tourism industry may shape a new future for the area, with particular interest in the following topics:
– The future of tourism and hospitality and the new markets
– Sustainable development and SDG factors
– New investment trends in health and wellness projects
– The impact of inflation in the hotel industry
– The new strategies and expectations of the tourism investment community

Stephanie Panayi expressed her satisfaction with the successful participation of Invest Cyprus at the IDEEA Hospitality Investment Forum in Prague while she also noted that. “Such events give us the opportunity to listen to the investors’ expectations and promote our country’s competitive advantages”, she added.
